How far back can Bonnie go?
Through a connected bank account, Bonnie typically imports up to 12 months of history — the exact depth depends on what your bank shares through Plaid, and some institutions provide less. Beyond that, upload statements: Bonnie can rebuild books for any period you have documents for.
What is catch-up bookkeeping?
Catch-up bookkeeping means working through past months that never got done: importing or entering the old transactions, categorizing them, matching the documents you still have, resolving duplicates and gaps, and producing a P&L for each period so the books become usable again.
Will I need to answer questions?
Usually, yes — old transactions are exactly where context is most likely to be missing. When the right category depends on what was actually going on, Bonnie asks a specific question rather than guessing, and each answer speeds up the rest of the backlog.
